"Smithsonian Stairway" 48X24 arcrylic, mica poders and photographs on canvas. It was created in 1998 for after the Smithsonian visit to St. Paul in 1996. All pictures were taken while touring the exhibit. The images reflect the steps this United States has taken, or is the process of taking, to get where it is now as society. The country was blessed with abundant resources and courageous people to bring it where it is today. However, the work is not complete and the natural resouces are quickly being depleted.
